What is NBTN?

The National Business Travel Network (NBTN) is a business-to-business network which enables companies to share best practice and promote the rationale for travel plans and Smarter Choices. Through research and practical case studies, NBTN is developing and demonstrating the strong business case for workplace travel planning.

A Department for Transport initiative and part of the government's ACT on CO2 campaign, NBTN works in partnership with and supports many existing organisations and networks, such as the BCC and CBI.

Prince's Mayday NetworkIn July 2009 the DfT appointed Business in the Community (BITC) to manage its business travel network and be a partner in promoting sustainable travel to business. NBTN and BITC are working together to place sustainable travel at the heart of the CR agenda through different projects, including BITC/NBTN Regional Award in Sustainable Travel.

NBTN closely cooperates with the Prince's Mayday Network on climate change, helping businesses to embark on a low carbon journey.
