Up to £1000 available to South East businesses for smarter working
Businesses with 5 to 250 employees in the Milton Keynes and Thames Valley area are being offered a new grant of up to £1,000 to assist them in reducing the cost of business travel.
The match funded grants are being made available from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and are accessible through Business Link.
The project, Sustainable Routes, aims to focus businesses on improved travel choices and provide businesses with a plan and guidance on how to implement smarter travel options.
The match funded grant of up to a maximum of £1000 will then be awarded towards the cost of implementing an initiative.
The grants could be used for a multitude of options such as consultancy on remote working infrastructures, developing flexible working policies, video conferencing equipment and fuel conversion.
Deborah Wharton, Chief Executive at Business Link comments: “This is a really innovative fund that will help businesses reduce their travel expenditure and carbon emissions by encouraging the take up of more efficient travel plans.”
