Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership: Local Authority Engagement

The Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership brings together over 350 organisations from across the government, the automotive and fuel industries, the environmental sector, academia, road user groups and others with a stake in the low carbon vehicles and fuels agenda. Its aim is to accelerate the shift to low carbon vehicles and fuels in the UK and to help ensure that UK business can benefit from that shift.

LowCVP is looking to engage with local authority members of NBTN to help develop a forum to take the lead on local authority policy issues relating to low carbon vehicles, fuels and infrastructure and public sector procurement.

The Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership is uniquely placed to act as a catalyst that brings together central and local governments with the commercial sector. We can:

  1. Advise on government initiatives that can benefit LAs
  2. Co-ordinate and communicate innovative solutions eg. biofuels, EVs, roadpricing, procurement
  3. Develop new programmes with and for Las
