In these tough times, business looks at the bottom line.
And with increasingly high fuel costs, traffic congestion, commuting delays, distribution problems and missed deadlines travel hits your bottom line.
Now, you can improve productivity by joining a new regional business network that aims to reduce costs by improving your employees’ commute and reducing the negative impacts of their business travel.
The new East of England Travel Plan Network will show you and your staff how to get the most out of travel and transport in the region.
A tailored travel plan can transform a company, particularly if budgets are tight. It can reduce parking demands, cut mileage and fleet costs, improve distribution, reduce absenteeism and aid recruitment.
Whether you are in the FTSE 350 or whether your business is large or small, whether you rely on public transport or private cars, the Network has a travel strategy to help you and your employees save time and money.
This event was co-hosted and supported by the East of England Development Agency, The National Business Travel Network and BAA Stansted. If you would like to attend future meetings please email heather.mcinroy@nbtn.org.uk.

NBTN showed it had all the modes covered when it comes to reducing CO2 emissions at its members’ conference in December. Whatever size or type of organisation you work for and whatever your business travel profile, be it planes, trains or cars the network had a policy to cut all emissions and save money.
It was a close call whether the best views were from the guest speakers or the windows at the latest NBTN conference held in London’s latest skyscraper conference venue, Altitude, on the 29th floor of London’s Millbank Tower in December.
The NBTN Members' Meeting was held on 13 June 2008 at the Cavendish Conference Centre, London. The meeting focused on 'Travel Planning: New Perspectives and a Vision for the Future.
Members heard from some of the UK's foremost academics present - for the first time - the results of recently completed NBTN supported research projects. Experts, researchers and practioners joined us on the day to outline some of their fascinating findings and successes.
