eCarTec, the trade fair for electric mobility, which is to be held in Munich from October 19 to 21, brings together all current developments and technologies in the sectors, including: electric vehicles, energy market, storage technology, drive trains, vehicle construction and finances at one trade fair. The trade fair concept includes the presentation of the latest innovations in electric mobility, a convention on the latest topics and a large-scale test track.

The inquiry into leadership skills for a sustainable economy undertaken by EDF Energy in partnership with Business in the Community revealed that the vast majority of businesses appreciate the importance of the need to develop sustainability skills at all levels in their organisations, acknowledge not enough is being done, and would like to see a lot more action and support.

This free webinar, hosted by 2degrees, will provide insight into the development of sustainability skills within companies, with a focus on senior leaders, middle managers and customer facing staff. This is a key initiative of the Mayday and Talent and Skills Leadership Teams

Green and Efficient IT: Friday, 16 July 2010

Hosted by Accenture and supported by NBTN, this BITC workshop looks at investing in energy efficient IT and sustainable use of existing equipment to reduce energy usage and business travel.

ICT products play a huge part in many business operations and they have a much larger impact on the environment than many may initially think.

Optimising efficient use of ICT will not only improve productivity but will reduce carbon emissions and costs. Investing in new ICT products such as teleconferencing and telepresence will also significantly reduce a company's business travel thus further saving carbon emissions and also reducing the amount of time staff spend travelling to and from meetings.
